CREATIV ’week: from the art of pitching to entrepreneurship, there is only one step!

From October 12 to 16, CREATIV week took place throughout France, organized by Pépite France, to educate students about business creation and to celebrate innovative initiatives led by our young people.

On this occasion, the entrepreneurial association GENIUS of the Reims campus organized, in collaboration with the Reims Incubator of NEOMA, a pitch workshop to train students in the art of presentation. Led by Lucile Peuch, the new coach of the Reims Incubator, this workshop brought together around ten students. After learning the basics of the art of pitching, the students had an hour and a half to invent an innovative business creation concept using three words drawn at random. Then, they presented their brand new project to a jury made up of representatives from Genius, Enactus Reims, NEOMA BS Incubateurs and Potentiel, the local operator of Pépite Champagne-Ardenne.

The “Mobilifood” project tops the competition, a supportive and eco-responsible mobile restaurant concept. Team members win tickets for 4 thematic workshops of their choice, organized by NEOMA Incubators and usually reserved for incubates. Baptiste, a student in the Grande Ecole Program, and member of the winning team, is delighted with his participation: “It was really great, I learned a lot of things. I now have the basics to pitch a project correctly, it will be useful everywhere, whether in classes at NEOMA during oral presentations or later in business. ”

Ludivine Akopoff, incubated at NEOMA and member of Genius, explains the importance of this workshop on campus: “For me, the pitch is an essential element of professional life: knowing how to explain a project clearly and concisely in order to convince an audience will be constantly required of us as future managers. What’s more, the pitch also teaches you how to sell yourself, during a professional interview for example. It’s a must-have to consider right now, and one that we’re excited to promote for the school at events like this.”

A great learning opportunity to repeat!
