NEOMA BS sets up stand at Viva Technology 2019!
From May 16 to 18, NEOMA Business School will be participating at the Viva Technology exhibition for the 1st time! A stand will be installed to promote our programmes and innovative actions and start-ups powered by NEOMA BS Incubators and Accelerators.
For François Jolly, NEOMA BS Incubators Start-up & Programme Manager, the presence of NEOMA BS at this international exhibition is an opportunity not to be missed: “Viva Technology is a key event for innovation, new technologies and the start-up world. The brightest minds and talents will be present over the course of these 3 days. This exhibition hosts close to 9,000 start-ups and attracts around 1,900 investors. It is the ideal opportunity to develop networks and promote activities. We are providing our start-ups with a fantastic space where they can meet potential investors, mentors or even future clients. They will also have the opportunity to pitch their projects to some of the 100,000 expected visitors!”
Alain Goudey, Director of the Transformation Digital adds: “Technology in education is one of the School’s main areas of focus, promoting the development of innovative teaching methods such as Immersive Virtual Reality, which was launched three years ago, for example. Indeed, the Digital Transformation Department, created in March 2018, is responsible for the development of innovative learning spaces, tools, methods and content through the Learning Lab, and the School’s transformation through the Digital Organization centre. In addition, the launch of the NEOMA EdTech Accelerator has further strengthened the role we play in the continuous improvement of our programmes. This exhibition will showcase all these actions and firmly establish the School’s pioneering position in this field.”
The students will not be left out either, as 500 free visitor passes will be made available to anyone who wishes to attend. They will have the opportunity to talk to many national and international companies, meet ambitious leaders and discover the latest in high-tech products. In other words, to begin shaping their future careers.
NEOMA BS will also be part of the 12 establishments to participate in the first next Startupper challenge. As part of this competition, each institution is invited to select an “early stage” entrepreneurial project carried by a group of students. They are invited to pitch in front of a jury, composed mainly of important partner groups of Viva tech ( among them Google, LVMH, EY, Valeo or Publicis). For this Edition, the school has chosen to highlight the startup BetOnYou, a chatbot Messenger that offers video game fans the opportunity to bet for free on their own online games, against friends or other members of the community.
Viva Technology is a celebration of tomorrow’s possibilities and transformations. There will be some nice surprises and many exceptional speakers. The NEOMA BS teams will be hoping to demonstrate the major contribution the School is making to the advancement of society and how we are constantly innovating in this direction.
