B.A.C PARIS, BESPOKE CITY SHOES DESIGNED BY YOU, FOR YOU!
After six months’ support from the NEOMA BS Incubators, the B.A.C Paris brand is to be officially launched with the help of a crowd-funding campaign. The brainchild of two graduates of the Master in Management programme.
The name BAC suggests some kind of longing for the past. Can you explain the meaning?
Growing up, we always felt that the shoes we were wearing weren’t quite what we wanted. Today we feel that current brands don’t really represent our unique personalities either. Plus, there is a significant growing need for transparency & involvement and a different way for people to shop. We felt there was something missing, so we decided to take the plunge.
What is B.A.C?
B.A.C Paris came from our desire to design your own pair of shoes and then be able to actually wear them. Our concept is simple. From a wide range of city shoe styles, you choose the materials and create your ideal bespoke pair. From the more sober or extravagant style to a more elegant or original design.
B.A.C. also means commitment!
Our brand stands for responsible fashion sold at a fair and affordable price. It was essential for us to change consumer habits and find an alternative to fast-fashion. Thanks to our pre-order system, we can manufacture our shoes intelligently, avoid stocks and respond directly to demand. In this way only the required raw materials are supplied and processed. B.A.C. shoes are manufactured in Portugal from Spanish raw materials which helps limit the carbon footprint as much as possible.
The launch of B.A.C. showcases your flagship model!
The Extravagant Loafer! The extravagant moccasin that perfectly reflects its ambivalence of style. The first B.A.C model is simultaneously timeless, casual and chic. It can be customised in three stages according to different styles – sober or extravagant, elegant or original. Three different stages using six different leathers. A total of 108 combinations are possible.
What are your objectives in launching a crowd-funding campaign?
We have three main objectives. First of all, to gauge the true extent of our customers’ interest in the brand and the original model and ensure that B.A.C. genuinely corresponds to their expectations. Secondly, to promote and make as many people aware of the brand as possible. Finally, to allow us to finance the first shoes and create the website where the bespoke application will be available.
Can we call in and check out the quality of your products?
To create a genuine and trusting relationship, we intend to open our doors, from the creation our collections to the setting of retail prices. Come along and try out the different models throughout the campaign at the Ulule showroom, 19 rue de Cléry Paris 2ème, métro Sentier – on the following dates: Saturday 26 October from 10am to 8pm, Thursday 31 October from 2pm to 8pm and Wednesdays 6 & 13 November de from 2pm to 8pm.
